Crochet Edging Tutorial

Stitch a seam in the fabric with a sewing machine. Choose a larger stitch size; 4 or 5.

Stitch along that seam with a blanket stitch, using the machine stitches to make the blanket stitch nice and even.

Work 2 dc in every blanket stitch.

Haak in elke festonsteek twee vasten.

*Work  3 trebles in the first dc, then 1 ss in the next dc, then skip 3 dc* and repeat between (*).

Cast off after the last dc, then stitch the yarn out of sight on the reverse of the fabric.

  7. Hi! I came over from Tangled Happy, and I think this is wonderful!

I have been sorting through my late aunt's things; she had a lot of linens with crocheted edgings, and they are so beautiful. This gives me an idea of how they were done. Thanks!
